Best Buy will stop selling Blu-Ray and DVD in 2024

In the UK a couple of the big supermarket chains (Sainsbury and Tesco) ceased selling CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray a while ago and Asda have scaled back the shelf space significantly. In my nearest town centre the number of shops selling new discs seems to be down to one (HMV) as other stores have closed or retreated to the retail park.
And then there are the streaming services who withold films from disc release…
