Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD

#1 Post by onoboi101 » Mon Aug 07, 2023 9:13 am

Hi All, I'm pretty new to blu-ray ripping/remuxing and I have some questions about this drive.

The firmware I have on this drive prevents UHD ripping from my understanding, but the LibreDrive says something like 'possible, not yet enabled'.

So does this mean that the drive is able to rip UHD but it has not yet been supported within MakeMKV?
or
Will this never work and do I need to get a different drive/firmware flash for UHD Ripping?

Any help would be much appreciated! :D
(I'm sorry if this post is a duplicate, I tried to find what I could on this forum)

So will this drive firmware get support eventually?
If so how long will it take approximately?

If it wont get support / wont be a long time until it does get support, I'll possibly look into buying from sellers on this site!

I'm so sorry, I completely missed the link you posted.
I've just read through it all and its basically answered all of my questions apart from 1!

Will I need to flash the firmware for my drive to work once support is added, or should it just work fine on the current firmware once supported?

Many thanks!
