Latest Makemkv for Mac won't open

I downloaded the latest version on Ventura. When I open the app it displays a message stating this is too old and I need to either enter a license key or download the latest version. This is the latest version on the website, 1.17.3. This is an M2 Mac.

Latest version is 1.17.4, but the key should be the same for both. You need the key with a July 2023 expiration right now.
