Blu-ray won't rip in HD, only 480p
Blu-ray won't rip in HD, only 480p
I have a Blu-ray that scans in makemkv with one clear option for the main feature, but it completes ripping as a 480p version. It's a brand new Blu-ray and makemkv is the latest version. There are no other options after scanning that are the size I would expect for a movie. Is there anything else I can do to get the correct version. Could this be a copyright protection issue?

Which Bluray?
I have a couple of "Bluray disks" that have non-BD video on them. One has 56 episodes of an older anime, all in one file. It would be a dozen disks in DVD format (what the video is), but only one BD. Those have 480 video.
