Hi All.
I am running Windows XP 64 and 2 days ago installed the Free Version. Conversion happened very well, image great. HOWEVER, when I played back the resulting files, makemakv completely screwed up the 8 channel sound card's driver and software (Asus DX 7.1, with the 2014 64 bit driver version). That is, the center channel is coming from one of the back channels and the Sub Woofer is coming from one of the side surround channels. It's kind of a wrongly placed general stereo sound, not the 5.1/7.1 channels supposed to come from the assigned speakers. As a consequence, even when I play DVDs the situation is the same. I'll reinstall the soundcard's driver, but I am really puzzled.
Is the paid for version OK? Does it create the right audio channels? Or, it doesn't quite work in XP 64?
Thanks, John.

Re: Free version
There is only one version of the software. The difference is whether or not the key that is used is a demo or real key.
Demo keys have time limits on them. Real keys do not.
Assuming you have the current version of MakeMKV, the files output will be the same.
