I am using version 1.15.1 and would like to digitize the 2 seasons of Chaika The Coffin Princess. There were no problems with the first volume. But both the 2nd and the 3rd volume have the following errors:

The Bluray were previously original packaging and have no visible damage. I use the same drive I used for the 1st volume and where it worked. Does anybody have an idea how I can solve it?

Clean the disks.
Chaika has nothing special about it, but it's been out long enough that the disks can be contaminated in the packaging.
If you want more information, read through:

No here in germany the license has Nipponnart and still moderately in stock. I just got the 2nd season today from Amazon. The disc isn't smeared either. Copying the data to the PC with the explorer also worked, if the data should be readable. The data can also be played. Therefore I don't understand the input error.

If you're looking at the Sentai Filmworks licensed version, the disk set with season 2 only was issued in 2016, and discontinued in 2017, when it was replaced by a "complete series" version for 2018. So any "new in package" S2 set would have spent 2 years sealed in with chemicals... which does transfer to the disks.
It does not take long for contamination to spread - I've seen it on disks I've received prior to the release date. But any disk set that is more than half a year old or more, it can be a major issue.
When it happens, you don't see "smears" like fingerprints. It's just a general haziness of the disk surface that can affect the focus of the laser. The first picture in that link shows it on the packaging; I haven't been able to get my cameras to focus on the haze of disks that have had it. They LOOK clean, until you can compare a cleaned portion against the rest of the disk.

At Nipponnart the volume is also 2016, but the complete edition was released on 16.01.2020. I ripped the volume 2 times with DVD Fab and got 2 read errors. Well, I will contact the publisher or seller and ask them to fix it. Thanks for the hint.
