So far using anydvdhd to rip to iso seems to work for me and makemkv is pretty straightforward.
Is there anyway to rip UHD disc to BDMV folders or its just a copy and paste thingy?

File > Backup
FYI Option unavailable for DVDs.

I dont see a Backup option under File but there is a "Burn to disc" option though

In MakeMKV? If not, I'm afraid I misunderstood the question. Sorry.
In AnyDVD, the option would be 'Rip Video Disc to Harddisk...'.

Oh, you are right....I misunderstood your reply.
Yes, I was able to copy the disc to my NAS using MakeMKV backup option.
