was there some reason to STOP at 1.10.7?

I vaguely remember there being some reason to NOT "upgrade" beyond MakeMKV 1.10.7. Does anyone know what that was about?

I do not remember such a thing. There are sometimes specific versions that are problems (1.12.3 can have issues, but is needed if you want to submit a UHD dump file). And there are a lot of things that won't work with 1.10.x anymore, like any disk past AACS v63 or UHD disks with encryption.
