No audio track on MakeMKV rip

#1 Post by kaitech » Fri Oct 05, 2018 9:48 pm

I have tried several times to process "The Salesman" with MakeMKV and in all instances there is no audio track at all. I played the discs on a blu ray player and there is indeed a sound track, just not when I process it with MakeMKV. When I drop the MKV file into Handbrake, it shows no audio track. This has never happened to me previous and was wondering if the disc might have some advanced protection that eliminates the audio track...

If you use something like VLC to play it, does VLC show any audio tracks? Usually handbrake will see SOMETHING, but there are some audio track types that require newer versions of handbrake.

This topic explains a bit about Expert Mode, which will allow you to see what audio tracks are in a particular title, and choose the one(s) you want:
