MakeMKV can't open ANY Blu-ray (Solved?)

UPDATE: Just as a sanity check, I went and bought a new external Blu-ray drive, and that seems to be working. I still don't understand why the original, internal drive I tried to use didn't work. As I previously saiud, I was able to play any Blu-ray movie I wanted using that drive and VLC, but for some reason MakeMKV didn't like it.

I'm trying to rip my Blu-ray collection so I can put my movies onto my phone, but I'm unable to get any of them open in MakeMKV. Whenever I attempt to open one, I get the following error(s):

The confusing thing about this is that VLC can open and play any of these discs without an issue, using the same drive. I've also been successful in using the "convert/save" feature of VLC and it is able to rip the Blu-rays to MP4s (again using the same drive), but this is inconvenient since it has occasional issues with grabbing the wrong audio track, the video editing software I use doesn't play nicely with the MP4s when I try to stitch together movies that come on multiple discs. As for MakeMKV, it works flawlessly with DVDs for me, but again, won't even open any of my Blu-rays. Anybody have any idea why this is, and more importantly, how I can fix it?

And if it helps, here's some info about my system:
CPU: Intel i7-2700k
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: Geforce GTX 1070
OS: Windows 10 64 Bit(fully updated)
C Drive: 256GB SSD (Contains OS and MakeMkv)
D Drive: 2TB HDD
E Drive: BD-ROM Drive - LG UH12LS28 (internal drive)
MakeMKV Version: 1.12.3 (Also tried reverting to 1.12.2)

TLDR:
MakeMKV can't open my Blu-rays, but can open my DVDs
Other programs (such as VLC) can open the Blu-rays using the same drive
Everything (computer, MakeMKV, drive firmware, etc... is up to date)

& now I see it noted in the attached logs... it was worth a shot.

But I also see:

"Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive"

which MAY mean you are SOL until the next release for a cert update?

i had the same issue going backwards get a ripping error fixed and got this issue, install 12.10.0 then go back to 10.12.2 and it will resolve the cert bug you have.
