I am using a registered MKV and only a few titles gives this error. For these titles, I use Leawo Blu-ray player to watch the movie.
Will the following error be fixed ?
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - AUTHENTICATION FAILURE' occurred while issuing SCSI command A30..00200740100720..0D2B63B8C583F3E0D389A851D31D441908B to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
Highest AACS version is v63 , MKB saved as C:\Users\Theol/.MakeMKV/MKB_v63_KONG_SKULL_ISLAND.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

Re: ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE
Were there other read errors prior to this? What version of MakeMKV are you running? It's shown in the part of the log that you removed.
AACS version 63 requires at least MakeMKV v1.10.6 to read.
Assuming you are running the current version, the error you are receiving is most often caused by a defect in the disk in the area of the hub, which is where the information needed to compute the AACS key is kept. It can be as little as a finger print.
