BD-Java support in 1.10.0

#1 Post by mike admin » Fri Jul 15, 2016 12:09 pm

Starting from version 1.10.0 MakeMKV has a (yet limited) support for BD-Java. For now, mostly old titles are supported, and only from the physical disc. All previous versions of MakeMKV have a bug in backup logic that affects only BD-Java files and could lead to damaged backup - certain BD-Java related files were incorrectly identified as fake and were not copied from the disc. Because of this, BD-Java functionality might not work when opening old backups. The backup code is fixed in 1.10.0 but the Java code in 1.10.0 still can't use backups produced by 1.10.0 . This should be fixed in the next version. For now BD-Java code only works reliably when opening physical disc.

If you were sending BD-J dumps per request at http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14330 and your disc still doesn't work - please send the dump again, this time from a backup made with 1.10.0 .

Please reply in this topic only for cases when BD-Java was detected by MakeMKV but produced invalid results (i.e. wrong title is selected as "Main Feature"). Also please do send dumps of recent discs with BD-Java protection per instructions at http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14330 .
