The Last Witchhunter 4K UHD

#1 Post by joewalsh » Fri Apr 22, 2016 10:36 pm

I picked up the UHD 4K version of this and was attempting to rip it and I get an error and some debug codes.

DEBUG: Code 16 at 4F9b_=LSM_Cv||\h:29401589

Before I pursue this further, I wanted to check what the state of ripping 4k is, should it work in MakeMKV or is is still a future thing?

Thanks!

UHD Blu-ray discs use a new version of the AACS cryptosystem, so decrypting them isn't supported by anything yet.

Assuming we've got a drive that will read UHD discs at all, do tell!!! Which drive you got?
But if not, you've inserted the regular blu ray and are having problems?

The regular bluray rips just fine, and yes, the drive I have reads the UHD just fine. I can open it in file explorer and navigate through the folders that have the video files in them.

The drive I am using is the LG WH16NS40. I bought it specifically because it will read UDH discs. Sad that the encryption hasn't been broken yet!
