Errors loading from blu-ray

#1 Post by sauron11 » Thu Dec 24, 2015 1:09 am

On trying to rip a disc (Terminator Genisys), I get a constant stream of debug messages logged, and the disk just pins endlessly when put in the blu-ray drive. I've tested this disc separately with two different USB connected blu-ray drives. This is the debug log messages, from MakeMKV 1.9.7:-

DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676

DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676

DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676
DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676

DEBUG: Code 1073741843 at O5MV!tJDDW2<\v">:213134676

MakeMKV just sits at the "Loading: please wait..." screen. Eventually the drive stops, but MakeMKV still thinks it's loading.

Debug codes are something Mike would have to interpret.

Do you have debug logging turned on? Sometimes, much more information will be included in the log than displays on the screen. The FAQ in my signature explains how to turn it on and where to find the log.

Yes, the above was with debug logging. However, since posting I've worked out that not all my USB ports are equal as far as my blu-ray drive is concerned. Plugging directly into a different port on the back of the machine got the disc to read happily.
