Hi,
I have a problem with the Dream Theater Blu-Ray "Live at Budokan".
MakeMKV detects 00006.mpls as the main playlist. It shows a total duration of 2:52:50.
But after ripping, the mkv file has a duration of 2:56:43. There is of course no real content after 2:52:50. If I try directly to jump to a time after 2:52:50 in MPC it hangs.
What can I do to get a proper mkv with the correct duration?
Regards,
cyborg

Re: Dream Theater - Live at Budokan (wrong duration)
What does VLC say about the length? MPC is notorious for some "colorful" interpretations of files. While some people have no love for VLC, it will give a "second opinion" on what you have, so we can tell if this is a MakeMKV issue, or an MPC issue.

Re: Dream Theater - Live at Budokan (wrong duration)
There is no difference, VLC displays also a total duration of 2:56:43.
Re: Dream Theater - Live at Budokan (wrong duration)
I have now opened the playlist file in mkvtoolnix and converted it to mkv. It worked flawlessly and has the correct duration. So it really seems to be a MakeMKV problem.

Mike will probably want some additional information from you, and may have you run a few tests. Please don't put the disk in storage right away!
