Resident Evil Afterlife 3D - no 3D

I am not able to get a 3D rip of Resident Evil Afterlife even when I find the track that has 3D and check the video line for 3D. Has anyone had any luck with this?

I am using Handbrake to encode the MKV to MP4.

I did search the forums but there are no relevant posts for Afterlife, and you can't search 3D because the search requires at least 4 characters.

How did you determine the rip was not 3D? HandBrake doesn't have any 3D support whatsoever.

I wasn't certain, but I figured starting with step 1 was the best place to start (and I find better information here than anywhere else). With further research, I think the problem is me. I think RE:A 3D requires a 3D TV, so it would not matter what I do with Handbrake or MakeMKV.

I did have success with Final Destination 3D which uses red/green 3D and had no problem with the encoding.
