Update after about 35 discs:
I have now ripped around 35 DVDs and Blu-rays of all kinds – older titles as well as very recent releases. Every single disc was read and processed without any problems: no read errors, no failed titles, no retries needed. The drive runs quiet, stays cool and has been completely reliable.
Conclusion: If you only need DVD and regular Blu-ray (no UHD), this is an inexpensive and trouble-free choice for MakeMKV. Recommended.
