Since I cannot easily leave my main PC case open for a direct SATA connection, I would appreciate your advice on:

Is there a way to identify the exact internal drive model (LG, ASUS, etc.) while it is still inside the Verbatim enclosure?

Is there a known USB bridge chipset / enclosure (e.g., ASMedia) that allows pass-through flashing for this drive over USB?

If I extract the slim drive and connect it via a Slimline SATA to SATA adapter on another PC just to flash it, will it continue to work properly once reassembled back into the original Verbatim enclosure?

It turns out the internal drive is actually a Panasonic / Matshita UJ273 slim drive.

Could you please advise on the following:

Is there any LibreDrive or friendly firmware support for this specific Matshita UJ273 drive?

Can this drive be flashed for 4K UHD playback/ripping using SDFtool Flasher, or is it limited strictly to standard Blu-ray / BDXL capabilities?
