Success: MakeMKV 1.18.4 for Linux

Here's what I've got:
A successful install of MakeMKY v1.18.4 [(linux(x64-release), GUi version 1.18.4 for x86_64-linux-gnu]on LMDE 7 (Gi-gi) Cinnamon 64-bit. I followed the installation instructions from: viewtopic.php?t=224
I couldn't figure out why I couldn't have MakeMKV create a movie.mkv file, until...
Click the huge button in the center (it looks like a spinning disc or a drive) to open and scan the disc. Afterwards, Make MKV button appears.
