I understand there are specific sata commands that won't work for flashing using many external hard drive enclosures out there but what about after flashing just for ripping? A friend of mine has this which I could borrow just for flashing: https://www.amazon.com/Benfei-Adapter-C ... T17B8?th=1
But I'm wondering if I'll ever need it again after flashing my drive? I have plenty of extra sata hard drive enclosures i could use to connect my drive for ripping, just wondering if those would likely work reliably after flashing using the Benfei adapter?
After successfully flashed can I just use basically any sata to usb3/esata drive enclosure to connect LG-BU40N to my mac

Yeah, you should be able to use pretty much any 9.5mm enclosure once the drive has been flashed.dialogueravenous wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 4:11 amI understand there are specific sata commands that won't work for flashing using many external hard drive enclosures out there but what about after flashing just for ripping?
