Running 1.18.2 on Win10 64 bit, I'm a lifetime registered user.
Program runs only from the installation when checking the checkbox to run the program. Using the desktop shortcut or the program from the installation folder results with the subject message along with CANT_LOCATE_MAKEKMVCON.
I've seen this problem with linux but not Windows.
I've checked my key and I've registered my installation.
Ideas please?

The answer is kind of dumb and simple: run as administrator.
At least now I'll have documentation next time I update.
