Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 1

Post by Smorgan06 »

I'm currently running the newest version of MakeMKV and successfully ripped the first disk out of three. However, the manner by which MakeMKV scans for AACS encryption appears to be by folder name. The second disk does not have a "CERTIFICATE" folder but instead has an "ANY!" folder that acts as the certificate folder. And as for the third disk I submitted the dump.

Having an "ANY!" folder isn't like any original disk I've seen. Seeing what MakeMKV actually reports would be helpful.

You’ve got a bootleg, the ANY! folder would have been created by AnyDVD.

Sunoo thanks for the clarification. That does make sense as the rip does play successfully as MakeMKV says it isn't encrypted. However, I bought it from Amazon so kinda weird.

I think what's happening here is that as I have AnyDVD and MakeMKV loaded. When AnyDVD Scans the disk it changes how the the disk is being read so the AACS directory shows up as "ANY!". I'll ensure that only one is running at any given time.
