Cuckoo Waltz series Region 2 dvd won't open (log included)

MakeMKV isn't opening DVDs from the The Cuckoo Waltz complete series set. Is there an option for this error besides swapping my (currently set to R1) DVD drive to region 2? Make MKV has been able to rip other Region 2 dvds without too much issue, including other discs from this production company (Network).

Log below took just over an hour to officially fail. It has also failed multiple times while trying to open manually.
