I've started having an issue with my 3.11 Libredrive Asus BC12. Most blu-rays work just fine. But recently, some blu-rays, with no pattern i can see, just don't read. The optical drive will loop a grinding seeking noise endlessly. The disc never shows up in "this PC", and MakeMKV reports "disc is being loaded". I've never had this issue before, even after ripping over 100 discs. Now i've had it with 2 discs i recently purchased. The S1D2 for game of thrones (german) (D1, D3-D5 are fine), and D1 for Gladiator 10th anniversary edition. The discs are clean and undamaged, i wiped them off with Isopropal alcohol to remove any factory grease.
Is this a known glitch that i've just been lucky enough to avoid thus far? Or is my drive (from 2016) on it's way out?
Edit: I bought an LG BH16NS55, and flashed it to WH16NS60, it can read the disc just fine. So it seems Got s1d2 just doesn't like Asus drives.
