Hi, I have a Apple iMac 27" 2019 with macOS Monterey v 12.5.1 with the newest MakeMKV. 1.17.1 and my OWC Mercury drive with LG WH16NS60 (v1.02) player and it will not show under MakeMKV. It says "The Program can't find any usable optical drives. I have used it before on the same machine, it worked then. I tried it on a Windows PC and there It worked perfectly fine.
Its like the Mac do not see the drive at all. I have tried plug it in and out, three different USB-ports. But no connection.
Any ideas?

You're sure the cable hasn't gone bad? And is properly seated in the back of the enclosure? And the enclosure is powered? Have you tried rebooting your Mac?

I'm seeing the same problem in Windows 11. I have the same drives too.
MakeMKV v1.17.1 win(x64-release) started
The program can't find any usable optical drives.
Windows explorer shows all the drives and they work fine. This worked a week ago.

I figured it out on Windows.
It was blocked by protected files and folders. You must go in an allow the makemvkcon executable to run. It was an easy fix.
