Hello,
I just did a clean install of Windows 11 (not an upgrade - empty disc). I installed Makemkv 1.17.1. I'm attempting to open an image from my hard disk - not from an optical drive. I've been doing this for ages with WIn 10. I normally go to the bdmv folder and open the index file with makemkv. I do not have any Optical drives on this system but that has never been an issue before so I'm doing something wrong.
I notice in MakeMKV when you open it - it says:
MakeMKV v1.17.1 win(x64-release) started
The program can't find any usable optical drives.
The CD arbriter service is running. I've tried turning it off.

I've tried going to security settings - turning on ransomware protection and excluding makemkv.exe as well as turning it back off.
Makemkv 1.17.1 and Windows 11
Re: Makemkv 1.17.1 and Windows 11
So I was being Chicken Little about Windows 11.
It turned out the movie I was trying to convert wasn't working with MakeMKV. I just happened to grab the first disc I've had an issue with in many years to be my testing disc for WIndows 11. Everything works fine with makemkv and other discs it was just the movie I selected and it wasn't even a good one so no big deal.
