Hello,
I have been working with MakeMKV for some time but ran into a DVD it fails to prescan. It says both cellwalk and celltrim methods fail. The DVD is a music DVD (BIG Country the Ultimate collection). This is the debug log output produced when I try to load the disk.
MakeMKV v1.16.5 win(x64-release) started
Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Users\cookie/MakeMKV_log.txt
Using direct disc access mode

DEBUG: Code 0 at \I*`gZL'~Esla,{fDv:29394229
CellWalk algorithm failed (structure protection is too tough?), trying CellTrim algorithm
Fake cells occupy 88% of the title - assuming fake title
Failed to open disc
IFO FILES
I tried using both protection removal methods manually rather than using auto selection but both failed with similar results.
Any idea what I could do for this ?
A very old IFO parsing tool I have shows this information for the DVD when it parses the IFO files, so they do not seem to be completely impassable.
Failure to load (pre-scan) a DVD
Re: Failure to load (pre-scan) a DVD
I was ultimately able to process this DVD using manual loading of the DVD, but I am still curious why it failed to load.
