Installs into (x86) folder on x64 machine?

When I install MakeMKV on my Windows x64 system it installs into the Program Files (x86) folder. I thought 64-bit programs installed into the Program Files folder?

Not really - you can put them in either directory tree, since both are in the path. Some programs have "always" been in "\Program Files", even when they had both 32-and 64-bit installs.
