I have three BW-16D1HT drives, all with the same enclosure connected to the same USB bus. Two of the drives have firmware v3.01 which work perfectly except for the sleep issue.
The third drive came with 3.03 and I flashed to the 3.10 MK firmware. For this drive I can't rip faster than 2x on UBD blurays. The other two drives rip much faster.
Before I try to downgrade the firmware, does anybody know what I need to do to get this drive to rip faster than 2x like my other drives?
BW-16D1HT Riplock?
Re: BW-16D1HT Riplock?
I think BW-16D1HT as no fixes yet for "Unrestricted read speed: Possible, not yet enabled".
I bought this model because it seemed the best, but I should maybe have investigated more
I also tried the DE BIOS 3.02 and MK 3.10, both seems to have the same behavior, slow read.
All rest seem ok
Highest AACS version: 58 <== this seems better in MK compare to DE BIOS
Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 3.10
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Possible, not yet enabled
Update, I accidental did a bit of Spamming on other threads

- For now the riplock is normal, the mkdev guy is quit busy as we can expect
There was also a comment about steady speed is not so bad, gives you a read stability.
