Hi all,

I currently have 2 x LG BH16NS55 downgraded to firmware 1.02 in stock.

Two things:
Try crossflashing the LGs with the ASUS 3.01 and check the speed improvement.

Yeah, thanks Alex. I personally have 2 x LG BH16NS55's. 1 is fw 1.02 and the other is ASUS 3.02, which is a little bit faster.

As I mentioned in the first post, I am happy to cross-flash to the ASUS firmware for customers on request. I just thought it'd be nice to give everone the choice when purchasing!!

What are the benefits of cross flashing the drive with the ASUS firmware?

The ASUS firmware makes the drive a little bit faster.

Or 25% faster.

Not quite! I'd say about 15% faster. I've ripped the same UHD on both of my drives as a test and the ASUS firmware was approx 6 minutes faster.

Same drive/same disc with LG firmware then same/same crossflashed to ASUS?

2 x LG BH16NS55's. One with LG 1.02 and the other with ASUS 3.02. Same UHD disc.
