Hello
I am converting some Blu-Ray backups into MKV files.
I am using the following command:
makemkvcon mkv file:/mnt/raw-movie/Frozen/ all /mnt/Movies/'Frozen (2014)' --minlength=600
This result is:
24G Feb 9 16:30 Frozen_t01.mkv
24G Feb 9 16:41 Frozen_t02.mkv
5.6G Feb 9 16:43 Frozen_t03.mkv
15G Feb 9 16:49 Frozen_t04.mkv
Why are there duplicated main features:
All 4 files seem to be the main feature.
Am i missing something.
Thanks
Duplicate Files
Re: Duplicate Files
Disney movie. The difference between the first two files is what language the titles and credits are displayed in. Some will have three; English, French, and Spanish.
On almost all Disney movies, the first will be English.

Re: Duplicate Files
Thanks they all have English Sound ??
Re: Duplicate Files
Yes, they all have all the same audio and subtitle choices. It's just what you see on the opening/closing screens, USUALLY.
Exceptions would be scenes with a lot of signs or other text, they might swap those out for local language, but I haven't seen this on the movies I have.

Any idea how to tell. And to stop wasting time ripping multiple copies?Woodstock wrote:Yes, they all have all the same audio and subtitle choices. It's just what you see on the opening/closing screens, USUALLY.

Re: Duplicate Files
If it's a Disney animated title, the main ENGLISH feature will have 800 in its file name (displayed in the Info window when you highlight the title).
I think 801 is French, and 802 is Spanish. Might be the other way around.
