Based on my understanding I am still within the trial period (according to the app it was 30 days), and I see no indication that a new version exists on this site or forum. I've been trialling MakeMKV for about 10 days now, and today it started providing the following dialog message at startup:

The German version of the dialog box does not say anything explicitly about registration being an option to unlock the software. However, it does have a "Register" button. I just came across this forum post

which provides a preliminary registration key for MakeMKV beta. This seems to work.
