Opened a bluray disc, and selected the streaming option, then navigated to the http page on my popcorn hour. I selected the .ts and .m2ts. both do not do anything, just hangs the popcornhour. makemkv shows no activity when i select the title.
anything i can do?

Re: Streaming to popcorn hour
If it's possible (I'm not familiar with the workings of "Popcorn Hour") Did you perform the last step of the following instructions?:
After opening the disc go to file menu and select "Stream". Next, launch your favorite video player that is capable of playing http streams with blu-ray codecs (examples are VLC and QT with Perian) and open the url http://localhost:51000/stream/title0.ts - you should see the first title. You may examine all titles and available formats by navigating to http://localhost:51000/ . MakeMKV contains built-in web server that is accessible over local network so you may launch MakeMKV on one computer and watch video on another - you'll have to change "localhost" in URL to a computer name or IP address.
Re: Streaming to popcorn hour
huh? of course i did! How else could I have navigated to the stream
on my lan its:
192.168.2.101 = My PC
192.168.2.104 = PCH
Its weird because the PCH's preferred method of streaming is http protocol, and it has no problems with .ts or .m2ts
on my lan its:
Code: Select all
http://192.168.2.101:51000
192.168.2.104 = PCH

Re: Streaming to popcorn hour
There were several reports of successful streaming to popcor hour. What happens with makemkv, does it display anything? It must show currently accessed file with its position and buffer level.
Re: Streaming to popcorn hour
the popcorn hour just freezes and I have to reset it. this is the bluray title "Super Troopers". Copying the m2ts and streaming it from the harddrive via NFS share works. I will try it with a different disc later.

Re: Streaming to popcorn hour
OK, this time I stood by my computer and watched makemkv as I selected the title on the PCH.
MakeMKV shows the title, and briefly the buffer starts to fill, but goes to 0. the PCH just freezes.

Streaming just regular DVDs does not work as well.
