Before I buy a BD Drive for my PC, I want to know if this is possible. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
I've got a home theater that runs off of an XBOX360 which runs as a Media Extender for my HTPC Windows Media Center - I use this all the time to play MKV files, works great.
It also has a PS3 that I use to play BD discs that I own.
Now that I'm collecting a lot of 3D blu-ray movies, I'm wanting to rip these to somewhere so I can finally stop switching out discs all the time.
I have read bad news about WMC playing 3D MVC MKV files, and if that's the case I'm likely completely out of luck trying it via a Media Extender setup as that provides even less compatibility. I could be wrong here. If someone has an MVC MKV file I could test, I'd love to try.
I also read that I could conceivably put the files on a USB drive and play them back with the PS3?
What's the best way to do this? Thanks.
