Asus BW-16D1HT not reading UHD help please

Hello,

Like the subject says, my drive isn't reading UHD discs. I've tried about four different UHD discs, and none of them are recognized. Regular Blu-ray discs work fine.

Some background: I purchased the drive refurbished/like new. When it arrived, MakeMKV reported the following:

Drive Information
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1HT
Revision: 3.10
Serial number: KL1P2B81031
Firmware date: 2119-01-04 10:14
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 65

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 3.10
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

For additional information, the sticker on the physical drive shows a different serial number, and it says the drive was manufactured in March 2026. The serial number reported by MakeMKV does not match the one on the sticker. I'm not sure if that's an issue or if the firmware information is simply reporting something different.

From what I understand, everything appears to be set up correctly for UHD, but the drive won't read any UHD discs. Regular Blu-rays work without any issues.

If anyone has any ideas or can help me troubleshoot this, I'd really appreciate it.

I also looked into flashing the drive, but it's already running 3.10, which appears to be the firmware included in the firmware pack (DE_ASUS_BW-16D1HT_3.10_MK.bin). There is also a 3.02 .bin file, but I'm not sure whether downgrading is possible or if doing so could brick the drive.
