Hello,
I have a Blu-ray that throws errors when I try to create an MKV of the main title. After several tries and by switching drives I managed to create an still encrypted ISO of the disc using ImgBurn. I've been using MakeMKV's backup feature to create an discattd.dat file.
Is there a way for me to use the ISO in combination with the discattd.dat to generate the desired MKV of the main title?
ISO + Backup/discattd.dat to MKV
Re: ISO + Backup/discattd.dat to MKV
AFAIK you just need to place the discattd.dat under where the BDMV (content of the iso) resides. Most likely you'd need to extract the content from the ISO (using 7-zip, mounting it and copy the things out, ...), as I don't think you can write discattd.dat into the ISO. (I could be wrong though.)
However, I've read some posts that *seems* to *imply* that the content of the ISO will be different (like further scrambled in some sense?) when your drive is not a LibreDrive and in that case you can't get things to work. (But maybe I just misunderstood what they meant. Perhaps they just meant without a LibreDrive you can't "simply" dump from a disc, as in using utility like dd / ddrescue ( / ImgBurn?) which doesn't "say" / do "special thing" to a drive, you'll just get error at some point during the process. In other words maybe it doesn't matter if you have already managed to obtain an ISO.)
Btw what are the errors? Are they even related to disc reading / decryption? Or are they related to remuxing the stuff into MKV?

Re: ISO + Backup/discattd.dat to MKV
It was disc read errors. A problem might be, that I could only create the ISO using my non LibreDrive, not the patched one
