Looking to replace my Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK

Post by Coaster »

Around a year ago I believe, my BRUHD-PU3-BK died. So now I am looking for a good drive to replace it. I attempted to buy a new drive myself, but fell prey to a relabeled MT-1939 drive on eBay. Guess I should have checked here for more information first.

I have a 5.25” enclosure and I’m located in the U.S. I don’t mind flashing the drive myself if necessary. My budget is around $100 - $150 preferably for a drive that doesn’t die after a year of use.

I was looking at a PIONEER BDR-S09XLB, but if you have any other recommendations, they will be welcomed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

You could always by a bare BU40N and put in the the Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK enclosure.
Cheers :D

Unfortunately, not knowing any better, I threw the drive away. Oops.
