Which Libredrive ( UHD )?

Post by Lehmeier »

Hello!
I would like to back up my UHD's ( under Linux ) and am looking for a Libredrive for this. It should have the following features:
1. it should be a UHD drive.
2. a newer model
3. an internal model to install in the computer
4. it should always display the files without Makemkv. So that it is easier to move them to a hard disk.
5. it should contain the latest possible firmware
The price should be under 200€ (including postage and packaging, and possibly customs duties).

Which drive would you recommend and where can I get it?

1. S13UBK
2 it's the newest UHD gen from pioneer
3.yea it's 5.25
4. It shows the files but you can't do that it won't work so don't waste your time and put wear on the drive for ripping a bus encrypted+ aacs encrypted files that can't ever be decrypted
Just use makemkv and it will all work good you can do a folder backup it you want all the files.
5.not going to happen cost me more than that

Remember the pioneers need old fw from the factory buying retail will likely have new fw and won't work

You will need a Windows PC for my recommendation. Less than 100 Euros.

I only use Linux and don't want to buy a Windows PC just to flash a UHD burner.
I am looking for a drive that is already flashed and working.

So if you don't have access to a Windows PC (laptop of friend etc.) then contact asmcom.
