The answer is, it depends. There's no standard that defines how episodes are stored on a DVD. I have never ripped the TV show House (2004), so I don't have any experience with this series.
Some people rip every title on a disc to be able to watch bits of them to figure out what is what. It is a crude method, but often works. If you first make a decrypted backup of the disc, then open the resulting .iso file with MakeMKV, you can make .mkv files from that .iso as fast as your storage will go, which is undoubtedly faster than your optical drive.
