New to MakeMKV. Audio doesn't play.

Hi. I am new to this software. I am trying to rip a movie from an old DVD (old like 10 years old) and the software did rip it. The video plays but the audio doesn't play. The audio in MP2 codec when I look at it in VLC. Any help please?

MP2 is MPEG-1 Audio Layer II, which is part of the DVD-Video specification.

I think Dolby Digital (aka AC-3) is the more common audio codec used on DVDs.

It might be the case that VLC doesn't have a codec to decode MP2 audio.
