I've tried numerous times (four) to rip The Greatest Showman, to no avail. Three of those times were ripping directly to mkv. The fourth time I tried making a backup, but this failed as well. I have a brand new LG external drive (BE16NU50) and the disc is (obviously) new as well. The following was the output when trying to make a disc backup. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Disc problem? Drive problem? Both?

UHD Greatest Showman failing - suggestions?
Re: UHD Greatest Showman failing - suggestions?
Is your drive's firmware the correct and required version for properly decrypting UHD BDs as discussed in this thread?

If you are on the correct and required firmware version, are you following Mike's instructions and placing the hash key file in it's proper place for decrypting UHD disks as he instructs in this thread?

Re: UHD Greatest Showman failing - suggestions?
Thanks st4evr. To answer your questions, yes. I'm on firmware 1.01--which came on the drive--and have not upgraded to 1.02.
And yes, the hashkey is in the proper directory. At first it was not, and I got a message right away that the disc couldn't be decrypted. But after placing it in the right directory, the decryption part of the process went just fine.
I'll keep reading through posted hints, tips, and comments. A bit discouraging, but we are pioneers.
