In using Makemkv I notice the drive information field is a bit misleading.
I have two optical drives, one an Asus Dvd Writer, one a Pioneer BDXL drive.
When the program loads, it defaults to the first drive in the sequence, the Dvd drive and indicates the Dvd Writer has seen the highest AACS v. 23
How is this possible? Dvd drives do not read AACS. Sure it's not a big thing, but perhaps the AACS info line should be posted outside the paragraph where drive info is listed.
Thus far I have not used MakeMKV to backup Blu Ray data, but just last night I took a peek at a BD disc because I was curious as to why the audio kept dropping out when I was watching a BD movie in my home theater. Naturally it went into the Pioneer BD drive and my suspicions were correct, the segment map was all over the disc rather than sequential. To thoroughly enjoy this movie it should have been duped to a usb flash or hard drive and played via the bd player that way.
