While I realize this topic has been brought up a couple times before (here and here, with the first post's thread clearly not addressing the request) I really want to try and bring some attention to this type of request: Can someone make an MakeMKV app for NAS.
Currently, Asustor, Synology, and QNAP all support attaching a Blu-ray/DVD drive to them with the possibility of sharing the drive across the network. HOWEVER, the disc drive is only seen as a network drive and MakeMKV can't recognize this as an "Optical Drive."
Is it possible for MakeMKV to be made as an application for these NAS boxes? While I realize they all have their own OS, they're essentially all different flavors of Unix.
I currently have a NAS that's kept in my home office and am streaming my media to a Mac Mini (running Windows 7 w/both Plex Media Server and Plex Home Theater for bitstream audio) that's in my home theater. I'd really like to be able to create the MKV's directly to the NAS instead of creating them on another Mac I have and then copy them over to the NAS.
Realize this is such a whiny "first world problem" but like I previously stated, just wanted to throw it out there again....
