Activation key does not work

I purchased MakeMKV and a month later got a new computer. After installing it on my new computer I tried to put the registration key I received when I originally purchased and it would not work

what am I doing wrong?

Did you copy the activation key out of Outlook, then try to paste it into MakeMKV?

Outlook, as well as IE and all the other MS Office products, has a tendency to grab more than you think it did. We have a LOT of support issues from people copying/pasting out of Outlook.

The fix is to paste into NOTEPAD.EXE, which will then let you highlight and copy just the text portion of the registration, before pasting into MakeMKV.

It was saved in notepad and I not only tried to copy and paste from notepad I also tried to type the key in manually and it would not work still
