I always use english and german audio tracks if possible. If each audio track has a name XBMC shows exactly that name an nothing else like "2/0" for german and english. If you use the key for changing audio you have no idea which language it is.
Solution is to have no name for audio tracks, then you see "<language> - <type of audio>" like "English - AC3 5.1" or "German - DTS-HD MA 7.1"
My wish is to have a global off switch for audio track names. At the moment i need to delete it for each audio track in every title. That is a lot of clicking for a TV Show.

Not the answer you're looking for, but since 1.8.2 you can press up and down keys on keyboard to get to a previous/next item. So you can set empty names for all tracks just by using keyboard. This is much faster than clicking. But the request noted.

This work around is actually better than I think of. I do believe too that this might take some time to develop but thanks for noting this.
Mistakes are learning tools.
