Problem getting actual movies

Post by Beleren »

So I've recently tried to get a blu-ray I bought into MKV file format, but all I get is the special features. I've tried opening the disc and finding them, but all I get is the special features, not the movie itself.

I really just want the movie because I don't really want the special features.

Can anyone give me some help with this? Its really annoying because I've been trying this for the past 4 hours, and I still can't get the actual movie.

I would guess the movie is that largest file, or has the most chapters.

I thought that too so I tried that, and it said the file was about 2 hours (about the length of the film), but when I tried it it didn't turn out to be the movie, it was a bunch of deleted/altered scenes like different angles or dialogue.

What movie is it? Is it in the AVS BDInfo database?

Its Fight Club. Its the 10th anniversary edition.

As for the database, I have no idea.

I typically select the track that contains the highest amount of subtitle+audio tracks that are in a different language (and that also contains chapters). It seems the movie industry doesn't dump quite as much money into internationalization when it comes to the special features (although this method does end with me usually not getting the Extended Editions that are usually included). Aside from that, and as Smithcraft mentioned, you can cross reference with the AVS BDInfo DB (located in his signature..not posting again because links from me seem to require mod approval)

From the AVS BDInfo thread, you want this playlist: 00010.MPLS.

While they don't specify that it's the 10th Anniversary edition, that is the cover image included.

Yes, it is in the database. Either wait for my post to be approved or look it up, as the db is in my sig.
