Before the feature to rip to 3D-MVC was added to makemkv, you used to be able to rip a 3D title directly to a 2D file. I used to find that function useful if I wanted to create a (smaller) 2D rip of a 3D blu-ray title. In many cases there is not a specific 2D version of the main title listed once the ISO is opened by Makemkv.
Is it still possible to do this using makemkv? If not, would it be possible to add it as an option, so that a preference to rip 3D movies to 2D could be set rather than ripping to 3D-MVC?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Just un-select the 3D extension stream.
