Hi, this might be the best place for me to ask. I've recently built a NAS since I wanted a place to save all the rips I'm making of my DVDs, Blu-Rays and 4Ks
I already tested out a 4K ISO off of the NAS to one of my PCs and menus work perfectly. The problem is that while my computer can handle Dolby Atmos (Windows 10 PC 5090 GPU connected to an LG OLED 77" CX which hands off all audio to a 7.1.4 Denon AVR X-3600H) this setup does not allow for two things in particular that I'm curious about
-Dolby Vision (Note: HDR10+ is a non-factor)
-DTS audio tracks (DTS-MA most importantly, DTS:X a bonus but not necessary since it's much rarer than an Atmos track)
While Windows 10 does have the ability to purchase a license for DTS, the CX cannot decode DTS and hand it to the Denon
While the Denon can decode DTS if connected to the PC, it cannot handle 4K@120 which is why the PC stays connected to the CX
I have a Sony UBP-X700 that can handle any disc no problem, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS-MA and DTS:X but I'm trying to move digitally to where all my movies are ripped with MakeMKV, decrypted, repackaged as ISOs and played no differently than how a disc would be
I'm willing to buy another 4K player that can
-connect to a PC/NAS and read ISOs
-play the ISO with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-MA audio tracks
Is there any 4K UHD player than can fulfill this?

You would be better off reading and asking here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=18602 This is the only topic about Dolby Vision and hardware used etc.Edcasti wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 10:17 pmHi, this might be the best place for me to ask.
