With every 4K Disc I get the error 'Hash check failed for file ... file is corrupt' and then 'the source file ... is corrupt or invalid at offset ...' and the rip fails. Normal Blurays seem to work fine.
I assume my drive is dying? Already reflashed the firmware, tried more than 5 discs, different PCs and cables, opened drive and blew some air in it to remove loose dust... I always connected it with an Inateck USB adapter with external power, so maybe I'll try connecting it through SATA internally as a last resort.
Is there anything else I can try to salvage this drive? If not, I need a new drive. I read good things about the LG BU40N, hope that one lasts more than two years

Yes I did. By now I tried 10 new and old, known to work disks. I think I can rule out any problem thereDid you clean the UHD disc?
