BDR-X13J-S Experience with LibreDrive?

There are some entries on the forum from back in December saying that the Pioneer BDR-X13J-S (Japanese version of BDR-X13U-S) should be compatible with LibreDrive.

Has anyone been able to try this out yet? As long as it’s still got last year’s fw, is it supported by MakeMKV out of the box or does it still need to be enabled? Thanks, guys!

Thanks, Coop, unfortunately only the US model is listed there. I just didn’t know whether this might maybe cover the Japanese version. Sometimes that seems to be the case with different regions: My BDR-XS07TU isn’t on there either (only the American model XS07U is), and still that’s working without issue…

Only Pioneer would have both a BDR-S13J-X and a BDR-X13J-S

I've seen people mention the BDR-S13J-X: viewtopic.php?p=132076#p132076

I do not recall seeing any mention of the BDR-X13J-S unfortunately.

Yes, there were only very few mentions and none of the ones I saw were definitive about whether it would work or not so I think it's safer to assume that at this moment it doesn't... Thank you!!

BDR-S13JBK is essentially the same with BDR-S13UBK
(with fw 1.02, these should work just fine - I have the JBK)

BDR-X13J-S is the same as BDR-X13U-S

U = US version
J = Japanese version
